Mr. Jorge J. Malfeito, the R&D Director of ACCIONA Agua, attended the recent ACQUEAU workshop on Making Water Smarter, held in Paris on September 16th. The workshop offered a deep insight into real-time systems and water management. Monitoring system, sensors, mapping, data management, low energy communication tools will be the main topics addressed by the speakers. The SMARTWATER4EUROPE project and specifically, the actions and results obtained so far in the SWING demo site were presented as part of the thematic session: Real Time Systems & Water Management.
The event was co-organized by AQUEAU (http://www.acqueau.eu/)and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC Canada, http://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/eng/) and brought together representatives from SMEs, R&D-intensive companies, large enterprises and national funding agencies and from Europe and Canada.
