These Depth & Level Transmitters have unique Sensor Heads which are removable and rangeable they give a precise stable
reading of the applied pressure which is directly proportional to liquid depth.
Pressure acting on a stainless steel diaphragm is transferred to a piezoresistive sensing element through a silicon oil fill
the result is high resolution very low hysteresis and excellent long term stability.
This excellent performance is matched to an integral signal conditioning amplifier which converts the basic mV output
signal to a current loop of 4 to 20 mA
Current limitation, reverse polarity protection and lightning suppression are included in the amplifier the benefits of this
are security of signal and compactness, noise and interference are also reduced to a minimum
Both models have up to 15 to 1 turndown on basic sensor rating this is achieved by ‘dil’ switches and fine adjustment
potentiometers for both Zero and Span settings. These are accessible by removing the sensor head which also enables the
cable assembly to be left in place should either re- ranging or servicing be necessary.
Each individual sensor head is temperature compensated and a calibration sheet is despatched with each unit.
The The sensing head is protected by a nose cone and a strain member is included in the cable to prevent stretching the units are fully sealed against ingress and moisture prevention techniques are deployed.
